Due to the lack of trained hair transplant surgeons and the price of hair transplants, people get hair transplants done by inexperienced and unqualified doctors. They expected the best hair transplant result and the reality was something else. The purpose of this blog is that no matter where you are, in any corner of the world, you get the right education so that you can get the best hair transplant result. If you have not read the previous blog about hair transplant, then you must read it.

It is said that “the eyes don't see what the mind doesn't know.”
First of all, you need to know what are good and bad results. The signs of good results are that people do not recognize that you have had a hair transplant, your hairline should be well designed, it should be taken care of that the hair implantation angle is different in each area, and the hair density is uniform. A sign of bad results is the artificial appearance of the hairline. With this people immediately recognize that you have done a hair transplant. Sometimes the hair is implanted completely straight i.e. 90°. Despite the high requirement of hairs, making the mistake of covering more area than less hair root does not give good results. Many times inexperienced hair transplant surgeons do not use hair from the beard or body donor area, this is also one of the main reasons for not covering more area.
Hair transplantation in patches, formation of scars or keloids, very little hair regrowth, and more hair curling downwards than at the front to temporal angle, which is blunt, all are signs of bad results. Let us see after knowing the good and bad results that how we can get the best hair transplant result. While discussing it, we will keep all these points in mind.

In the last decade, the popularity of hair transplant has increased so much in our country, that the number of inexperienced and unqualified doctors and clinics has also increased to a great extent.
Therefore it is important for you to know that the hair transplant should be done by which doctor. You should get a hair transplant done only by a plastic surgeon or dermatologist.
Most of the failed hair transplant results patients who consult me do not even know the degree of their hair transplant surgeon. Anywhere you call for a hair transplant consultation appointment, you must definitely ask and confirm the degree of the hair transplant surgeon. The second important thing is that your doctor's experience is at least more than 5 years, that same hair transplant surgeon can give you the best result. The clinic where you are going to get the hair transplant done should have a well-equipped operation theater with all types of equipment and drugs. Due to the separation of the operation theater and routine procedure room, the risk of infection is reduced.
Whenever you go for a hair transplant consultation, you should ask sufficient questions in your consultation process. Your hair transplant surgeon should give you at least 20 to 25 minutes. If you consult a doctor on the basis of a patient’s reference, and within 5 minutes he tells you that you need a hair transplant and that 2 to 5 thousand hair follicles will be needed, I believe you should not do a hair transplant at such a place. Your hair transplant surgeon should give you detailed information about hair loss. After examining your hair, he should explain the process. The investigation required for hair transplant should be told. The different techniques that are there in hair transplant like FUE or FUT should be discussed in detail, and what procedure they will use for you and what is the reason for it should be told to you. You should be given information in detail about post-surgery care, how long till the results will be seen, and which medicines should be continued after surgery. You should get the necessary information about how long the results of hair transplant last and future hair loss during the consultation. Whichever doctor gives you a 100% guarantee of results is a red alert for you.
A plastic surgeon or any experienced dermatologist will never give you a 100% guarantee of the result of a hair transplant because it is a fact. He will tell you about the failure rate even if it is 0.5%. Also, he will tell you when the transplanted hairs can fall out or about their thinning. You should watch all these things carefully. If your hair transplant surgeon genuinely feels that you are not a good candidate for a hair transplant or he will not be able to give you good results, then he will politely refuse you, in such a case you should trust his judgment. He will recommend alternative treatments like scalp micropigmentation or wigs to you. Never think that if those surgeons refuse, then they do not know how to do surgery or they do not want to do surgery, it is because of their experience that they tell you non-surgical options.

Dr. Vasant Gholave, Director of Arra Aesthetics, Pune, discusses the factors that influence the cost of laser hair removal in Pune here.
Be it hair transplant or other cosmetic surgery or laser treatment, at Arra Aesthetics, I always believe in two-way communication. Whatever your doubts about hair transplant, you should clear them in the first or second consultation. I typically do two consultations for hair transplant surgery. Our second consultation here is free. No matter how many small doubts you have, you should clarify them with the hair transplant surgeon so that you can rest assured at the time of surgery and you will not have any second thoughts about the selection of the procedure. Very often patients forget to ask some questions, in such a situation, you should note down all the questions before the consultation, and before going out of the consultation room, you must check whether you have asked all the questions or not.
After grading your baldness, the hair transplant surgeon will inform you about the number of hair follicles you are going to need. Quite often you are bombarded that FUE is the best technique and your inclination is also towards FUE. However, according to whoever is an experienced hair transplant surgeon, FUE or FUT, neither of these is a better technique than the other. Each technique has its own pros and cons. I personally prefer FUE if 4000 to 4500 grafts are needed. If more is needed, I prefer the combination of FUT plus FUE, if the donor area is limited. Due to combining these two procedures, the graft yield is good from the limited donor area and we can cover more bald areas.

You should stop smoking immediately if you want the best result. Nicotine in any form is fatal for the hair. Before surgery, you should be as stress-free as possible and follow the advice of your hair transplant surgeon regarding any investigations or medicines such as minoxidil or alcohol.
The first 5 days after HT are very important for you. For the first 5 days, you should keep the hair wet with normal saline. While sleeping, you have to sleep straight, if you sleep on the side or on your stomach, then there is a risk of losing the implanted hair. Wear a surgical cap for 21 days to protect the hair follicle from dust and protect your hair from sunlight.
Although PRP is not FDA approved, it is our experience that in the patients who use PRP after surgery, the results of the hair transplant are seen in five to six months. Normally one has to wait for 6 to 8 months. Using PRP depends on the personal thought process of each hair transplant surgeon.
You should continue minoxidil, finasteride, and multivitamins after a hair transplant. Many patients make the mistake that “now my hair has grown, so I stop taking medicines.” I can understand that taking tablets and applying minoxidil every day is not an easy task. It is also necessary to maintain the results that you have achieved. If for some reason you have to stop medicines, then first take the opinion of your hair transplant surgeon.

We all want great results but at the same time, we are also price-conscious. According to Marketing Research, our subconscious mind does not choose most of the expensive things when buying anything. Many times this is also true, that if you talk about any product or service, whether it is mobile, TV, or anything else, then you have to pay a decent price for the quality. The same criteria should be applied to your hair transplant. In my opinion, in HT, you should not think much about the price because if you do not get HT from a good doctor because of the price and your hair transplant fails then you lose your valuable donor area. For the second time, we need body hair to do hair transplant. Because of this, ultimately your budget also increases as well as unnecessary stress.
It is important to have realistic expectations in any cosmetic surgery. Quite often we explain to the patients who lack donor area that whatever grafts are available, the frontal area will cover the front portion. Sometimes we take the hairlines back a bit so that you can get a decent result from the available donor area follicle. So it is important for you to understand all these things for better results.
Hope I have covered many of your points with this. I hope you will definitely benefit from this while choosing the hair transplant surgeon and technique. If you have any other questions then you can contact us or email us. Let me tell you that after asking the price on the phone, do not choose a doctor for a hair transplant. If you are motivated to do a hair transplant, then meet face to face with the hair transplant surgeon. If your budget is less then save money and get a hair transplant done only by a qualified plastic surgeon or dermatologist.
All the best for your hair transplant journey.
Thank you.
